This woven yellow gold wedding band was a joy to make. After creating a one-of-a-kind engagement ring for this couple, they commissioned me to create their wedding set. They were looking for something with a similar look and feel, but didn’t want the set to be “matchy-matchy.” Her engagement ring is a spectacular. It’s surrounded in yellow diamonds and has lots of movement and shape.

We wanted to play off of this movement for his wedding band.

We determined that a woven design was both masculine and had movement. He wanted yellow gold, to match her wedding set. And we determined a brushed (or matte) finish would give it a uniqueness all it’s own. These woven or braided bands are so handsome when finished. I used Computer Aided Design (CAD) to create the prototype, then cast and finished the ring. I couldn’t have been happier with the finished product, and shipped it out to the happy husband-to-be.
